Monument to Anton Novak (Varna)

The monument to Anton Novak is situated in the Sea Garden, near the University of Economics. Anton Novak (1860 -1945) was a Czech landscape architect, creator of the Seaside Park, the Asparuhov Park and other green areas in Varna. For planning the park at the Vladislav Varnenchik Museum he was awarded the Order of Civil Merit by the Government of the Republic of Poland.
The initiators of the installation of the monument to Anton Novak are Lilyana and Vladimir Stanevi. The author - Professor Plamen Bratanov, who has created an original sculpture of stone and bronze, skillfully combined the bas-relief with an exquisite floral motif. The monument was funded by the Municipality of Varna and was inaugurated in 1999.
