  • I lived in New Orleans for 9yrs in the 80's. Gambling on the river and possible casinoes were much debated in the local press at that time. It is sad to note that the Casinoes have not been the solution to prosperity as believed. Corruption was obviously the driving force. Governor in charge at the time, Edwin Edwards: Now due out of prison in 2001, aged 83. I hope he will at last express some humility and maybe win an earlier release.
  • outside isnice never went inside im too young =(
  • Sorry guys, the outside photos were the best I could do. They won't allow photos of the building inside for obvious security reasons. But take my word for it, it is nothing short of spectacular inside! The new 'club' (I guess, if you can call it that-- it's not really inside of any "contained" area), Masquerade, is pretty cool and a great place to meet wom... I mean, people...
  • If you've been to Vegas, you've seen better. To any tourists: Unless you're really into gambling, there are better things to do on your visit to New Orleans. It reminds me of the casinos you see off the Las Vegas Strip in suburban Vegas or the large casinos in Primm on the CA/NV state line used for Southern Californians.
  • I 've been in New Orleans only 1 week on 1996 and I do love it.
