US Highway 287 / CO Highway 14
US Highway 287 travels almost 1900 miles from Choteau, MT (US 89) to Port Arthur, TX (TX 87/16th St.). From its intersection with US 89 in Choteau, it goes south to the west entrance of Yellowstone and restarts at the south entrance. It continues across Wyoming to Denver then to north of Amarillo, TX where it finally meets its parent route - US 87. From Amarillo, it splits off southeast through Fort Worth and finally ending at TX State Highway 87 in Port Arthur. Colorado State Highway 14 is an east-west highway that begins at US 40 at the edge of Jackson County (bordered with Grand County). It runs northeast to Walden, then crosses the Roosevelt National Forest. Outside Fort Collins, SH 14 meets US 287 then splits downtown. SH 14 continues east crossing US 85 in Ault. It ends at US 6 (3rd Street) in Sterling (near I-76).
