US Highway 287 North
US Highway 287 travels almost 1900 miles from Port Arthur, TX (TX 87/16th St.) to Choteau, MT (US 89). From its intersection with TX State Highway 87 in Port Arthur, it travels northwest through Fort Worth and to Amarillo, TX where it meets its parent route - US 87. North of Amarillo, US 287 splits off to the north going through Denver and across Wyoming. It stops at the south entrance of Yellowstone and the northern segment begins at the west entrance. It continues north up to US 89 in Choteau where it ends.
