Most pronounced peak in the foothills of the Northern Front Range, just southwest of Ft. Collins. The name Horsetooth comes from the shape of the rock, as it looks like a horse's two large front teeth.

Park is owned by city and has lots of good trails for hiking, biking, horeback riding, etc. So, therefore it is very popular and can be crowded on weekends.

Park has two trailheads (parking $6) and links up with the Lory State Park trail system to the north and Blue Sky Trail to the South.
