Interstate 564 Intermodal Connector (Norfolk, Virginia)
The I-564 Intermodal Connector is a four-lane limited access freeway that provides direct connections between Interstate 564, the Port of Virginia, Naval Station Norfolk, and access to Hampton Boulevard. The roadway opened to Port of Virginia traffic on December 21, 2017. By Fall of 2018, construction on new ramps and bridges which will lead to Naval Station Norfolk, and Hampton Boulevard will be completed and opened to traffic. Looking in the long term future, this is the first phase to where the Third Crossing (Patriot's Crossing) will tie into I-564.
