US 181 South / Texas Highway 35 South

US Highway 181 is wholly within Texas and starts at Interstate 37 exit 132 outside San Antonio. It roughly parallels I-37 all the way to Corpus Christi. I-37 passes through Floresville, Karnes City, Beeville (US 59), Sinton, and Gregory. In Gregory, it turns southwest and ends at the same point that I-37 ends in Corpus Christi.

Texas State Highway 35 starts from Interstate 45 exit 40B just north of I-610 (the southern portion) in Houston. It goes south to Alvin, then goes southwest through Angleton (north of Lake Jackson) where it crosses SH 288. Bay City sees SH 35, then SH 35 runs closer to the Gulf of Mexico. It passes through Port Lavaca, Rockport, and Aransas Pass before getting to Gregory. In Gregory, SH 35 is concurrent with US 181 all the way to its endpoint in Corpus Christi.
