US 181 North / Texas Highway 35 North

US Highway 181 is wholly within Texas and starts at the same point as Interstate 37 in Corpus Christi. I-37 starts going west and US 181 starts off northeast. After going through Gregory, US 181 turns northwest and roughly parallels I-37 all the way to San Antonio. US 181 passes through Gregory, Sinton, Beeville (US 59), Karnes City, and Floresville. It ends at Interstate 37 exit 132.

In Corpus Christi, Texas State Highway 35 starts concurrent with US 181. In Gregory, SH 35 continues northeast while US 181 turns northwest. SH 35 stays near the Gulf of Mexico by going through Aransas Pass, Rockport, and Port Lavaca. In Palacios, it goes further inland. It goes through Bay City, then crosses SH 288 in Angleton (north of Lake Jackson). In Alvin, SH 35 goes straight north into Houston ending at Interstate 45 just north of I-610 (the south portion).
