These are the editorial offices, printing presses and circulation operations for Rodong Shinmun, or Worker's Daily, which is the daily newspaper of the Korean Workers Party. Rodong Shinmun has a circulation of about 1.5 million readers. The newspaper focuses on news of the government of the DPRK, the activities of General Kim Jong il and accomplishments of the KWP workers units and members. It publishes numerous editorials, the most notable being the New Year's Joint Editorial, the KWP's raison d'etre for the upcoming year.
