 sanctuary, place with historical importance

Chalcolithic fortified settlement (5th millennium BC), Thracian cult complex and fortress (Late Iron Age, 6th-2nd century BC) with an area of about 500 decares, located on three hills. It was discovered by Prof. Todor Boyadzhiev in 2000 and was announced in 2006.
Three huge rock-like human heads, a large number of stone sculptures of amphibians - fish, snakes, turtles, etc., and at least three dolmens documented so far (at least one of which has an established astronomical application) have been found on the territory of the complex. All sites are well oriented on one of the east-west or north-south axes.
During the last excavations a very rare monument was discovered - a preserved clay hearth with beautiful geometric and plant decoration.
