The Hawkwood Stone

This re-sited boundary stone was first erected in about 1799. It marked a change in the authority for jurisdiction over the waters of the adjacent River Medway. Access to the Stone is not easy.

  • The stone may not have been re-sited. When I wrote the original entry I may have misinterpreted the published information. Hawkwood is the old name for the location.
