  • This was in fact the alert hanger for the 13th Fighter Intercepter Squadron. I was part of that squadron.
  • that in fact was the alert hangers for the 13th FIS ,it housed two 5minute birds and two 15 minute birds. I was there in the 13th from june 1960 to jan 1964, pulled a 2 mo. and a 6 mo. duty on the alert pad part of ground crew.
  • Was indeed 13th alert facility, was there in 64 to 66 and while on duty was responsible the the security of that facility. Was only fenced on 3 sides and one side was open to taxiway and protected by armed guard and photobeams across taxiway
