Constructed after the 1812 fire in 1821 for the merchant Jacob or Ivan Sivov. In 1926 it was taken over by the Moscow housing association and became communal apartments. In the 21st century it has been extensively renovated and joined with the property at Sofiiskaya Embankment 18.
