Elkington Forest

An island of forest surrounded by 3700 acres of clearcuts. This 950 acre site has been owned by the Elkington family since 1945 and it is now the site of a proposed conservation community. By creating a residential hamlet on one small corner, the rest will remain as a combination of park and eco-forestry operation.(see link).
