This now closed airfield (see the XX painted on the runway ends)was originally operated by the US Air Force to support missle testing operations at the plant adjacent to the airfield. Thiokol finally purchased the former Air Force Plant 78 complex in 1995. Thiokol finally decided to stop maintenance on the field and to use Ogden for its flight base.
The field is 5000' and paved.
