DDO (in Richmond Hill, Ontario) is the site of the largest (1.88 m. or 74 in.) optical telescope in Canada. The Observatory is a research centre of the Department of Astronomy and Astrophysics at the University of Toronto and also carries out public education and teaching programmes.
