Mahamevnawa Buddhist Monastery is located at Pittugala Malabe, Sri Lanka Approximately 12Km from Colombo City.Facing New Kandy road Convenient to visit by public transport route No. 177 ( Kollupitiya – Kaduwela ). Conveniently located between malabe and Kaduwela. It is 2Km from Malabe Town & 4 Km from Kaduwela. People whom visit from Aturugiriya & Maharagam they can travel via Kahanthota road starting from Arangala Town.

Monastery provides facilities of Large Audio Library contains many sutta been preach by Ven. Kiribathgoda Gnanananda Thero. Also library contains many books on same. Sitting capacity of more than 2,000 people in 2 storey halls.

Mahamevnawa is an organization of monasteries established for the sake of spiritual development of human beings through the teachings of the Gauthama Buddha who was born in 512 B.C.
