Sri Dalada Maligawa is the most venerated religious Place of Buddhists in the whole world. This is the symbol of Sri lanka. Dalada maligawa was built in 17th century in Mahanuwara Era. in 1998 january 31, LTTE Terrorists attacked and bombed the secred temple (which actually exhibited their vandalism and cruelties)but secured by the blessings of the Tripple Gem, no damage was reported in the significant area of the Dalada maligawa.
