A former White County school site. Carter's Seminary was founded in 1938 because children from the Tollison Town community were forced to walk two miles to the nearest schoolhouse. The men of the community built a school for themselves which they used until buses took the local children to Old Zion and Almyra schools. The building was also available to all denominations for use as a Sunday School and church.
