This is the Davidson River Campground in the Pisgah National Forest. It is a great place to stay with your family. It borders the Davidson River. You can enjoy tubing down the river (when the water is high enough), swimming in the swimming hole. There are activities for the kids on the weekends during the summer. It is only a few miles from Sliding Rock and Looking Glass Falls. There are many places to hike starting in the camp ground. The camp sites are nice and pretty reasonable. Some sites are very close to the river (around 50-100ft). Most sites are close enough to be within walking distance to the river.
