It is a masterpiece of old ottoman architecture and of the majolica art, originally built as a palace Köşk (kiosk or pavilion) for harem of the sultan by Mehmed II "the Conqueror" in 1473. Previous first builded structure in Topkapı Sarayı today Cinili Kosk is a museum of Ceramic Art joined not to Topkapı palace but to Istanbul Archaeologicall museum complex. It houses collections of ancient Persian and Islamic ceramic art and mosaics.
