Mangalia (Romanian pronunciation: [maŋˈɡalia], ancient Callatis (Greek: Καλλατις), other historical names Pangalia, Panglicara, Tomisovara), is a city and a port on the coast of the Black Sea in the south-east of Constanţa County, Romania.
The municipality of Mangalia also administers several summer time seaside resorts: Cap Aurora, Jupiter, Neptun, Olimp, Saturn, Venus.

  • Dezvoltarea moderna a orasului Mangalia incepe dupa 1955, in mai multe etape: 1957-1961 constructia "centrului civic"" (care cuprindea pe atunci cateva blocuri, o casa de cultura si un cazino), dupa 1965- constructia noilor si modernelor statiuni turistice Saturn-Jupiter-Neptun-Saturn-Cap Aurora, si dupa 1974- extinderea santierului naval si constructia portului comercial.
