These buildings house part of The Environmental Protection Agency, but also contain the Andrew Mellon Auditorium. The complex dates from the 1930's, with the building facing 12th street being completed in 1934 for use as the new Post Office for Washington. The Post Office building was renamed in honor of Ariel Rios, an ATF agent killed in the line of duty.
