A recent addition to Nazareth's historic treasures is to be found just by Mary's Well, where Nazareth's citizens drew their water for more than 2000 years. Underneath the Cactus souvenir shop recent excavations have revealed the remains of a large ancient bath house which archaeologists believe dates back to the time of Jesus. The discoveries include a furnace, a white marble floor imported from Rome, and the arched channels which carried the heated air - suggest that the significance of Nazareth at the time of Jesus may be much greater than previously thought.
