Meher Majeed was our 1st forefather who came from Ghazni (Afghanistan) in the Army of Mehmood Ghaznavi (R.A) to fight against "Prithvi Raj Chohan" and defeted Chohans in 1080AD.

Some Awans came in India with Hazrat Qutub Shah in the City of Talha Gang (now Talagang). They all were Ulema and Scholars. Came after victory against Prithvi Raj Chohan to spread Islam in India. Hazrat Haq Bahu Sultan is one of children of Qutub Shah (R.A).

Our family tree trails from Ghazni (Afghanistan) to Najaf (Iraq), to Arabs with Hazrat Abbas (R.A) S/o. Ummul-Banin and Hazrat Ali (R.A).
We called "Awan", in Pakistan and "Alavi" in India.
