The Keatley Creek archaeological site is an important archaeological site under study by Prof. Brian Hayden of Simon Fraser University and consists of a group of "quiggly holes" ([[kekuli]]) that comprised the principal village in this area during a period when the Fraser had been blocked by a slide at Texas Creek, below Lillooet, and formed a lack backing up into this area.
