Just a few hundred meters from the center of Pancevo on the right bank of the Tamis river lies the real swamp, natural oasis in whose bosom nests of many birds, notably the gray heron and extremely endangered black stork. This area, from the railway bridge on river Tamis to the river Danube is known as the City Forest. The flora is dominated by woody: oak, willow, black and white poplars. If you do your run early in the morning is not unusual to see the roes, rabbits or even wild boars.
