A bell tower original to this bridge. Famous for a death of Marilyn Monroe’s character in the movie “Niagara.” It has been remodeled several times over and still plays the bells. The Carillon is played using a piano-like keyboard. Instead of keys, the Carillon uses a series of round oak levers that are played with closed fists. Pedals are also pressed with the feet for lower notes. The bells do not move, but are struck by clappers connected to the levers on the keyboard.
