This is the building site of the controversial Cathedral Plaza. Opposers of the project argue that the enormous building will dwarf the historical Sf. Joseph's Cathedral(Catedrala Sf. Iosif) destroying it's architectural beauty.

  • This is an illegal construction, situated at about 8 meters from an historical monument: St. Joseph roman catholic Cathedral - the heart of the catholic community in Bucharest. The Romanian law prohibits building anything near 100 meters from an historical monument, and this tower is at 8 meters... I hope the Romanian "justice" will decide to demolish this tower, IF they want to be called an Independent, European justice.
  • now that the comunist dictator Basescu has been re-elected president, the building will be finished as the project's beneficiaries are Basescu's main peoples' companies (Videanu, Daianu, Doicescu etc)
