Lincoln University is New Zealand’s third oldest university. Founded in 1878 as a School of Agriculture, it has developed its expertise in the field of agriculture, science, forestry and natural resources. For the 4,500 students who study there, Lincoln offers the best of both worlds. The campus, situated just outside the bustling metropolis of Christchurch, is set in the heart of the country, yet it is close to the cosmopolitan amenities of the city or the peace and quiet of the surrounding Canterbury Plains. As New Zealand’s smallest university, it provides a unique learning environment for its students with a real community feel.
