Arthamuru, a tiny village of East Godavari district surrounded by lush green paddy fields and every inch of this land is being purified and irrigated by the holy waters of river Godavari, Ganjes of South India. It is the holiest place where the ancient saint Agastya lived for some time in this area and hence the name of this village has been derived from the name Agastya. It is birth place for many ancient and modern saints. There is a great magic in the soil it self as it induces new thoughts in the minds of people both cultural and spiritual.
It is native place of Sri Sri Sri Tridandi Srimannaryana Peda Jiyyer Swamy, a great philosopher and veda scholar. Swamiji , before taking sanyasam , has observed Diksha for 40 days in the abode of Sri Venugopalaswamy of this village. After that only he has traveled all over India and canvassed Hindu Dharma. Swamiji has conducted many spiritual conferences and conducted 108 Sri Rama campaigns and 108 Swadyaya gnana yagnams in all over India. Swamiji has established Asram and veda school in Nadigaddapalem and groomed several scholars in Sri Vaishnava Pancharatna Agama Vedam.

The trust has participated in the construction of temple for Lord Venkateswara in the village. The trust has taken up the Sri Govinda Mala Daranam by the devotees in a big way which was introduced by China Jiyyer Swamiji. Maladaranam was started on the day of lying of foundation stone for the temple i.e. on 13.4.2007. maladarana diksha was continued for 333 days up to the day of Pratista (from 13.4.2007 to 10.3.2008). sri Govinda Mala Darana consisted of seven batches named after Tirumala hills and each batch observed Diksha for seven weeks. All these devotees were chanting Govinda namams all the time and participated in the construction of the temple. Daily bhajans were conducted, stotrams were chanted every morning and evening. Sudarsana homams were conducted at the starting of maladharanam by each batch. Poojas were conducted on every Saturday in the houses of devotees.
Finally, Sri Govinda Mala Daranam was concluded on the day of lord’s pratista i.e. on 10.3.2008 at 7.31 AM when 848 number of devotees were in Diksha.
The great unmemorable part of this event is the participation of total 1035 devotees which includes women also with Sri Govinda Mala Darana diksha from foundation to pratishta for all the 333 days.
