The Academy is located within the stone wall and iron gates at 23515 Church Street. It was originally built as the Scratchley family mansion. Now the residence of former Louisiana Lieutenant Gov. and Mrs. Robert L. Freeman, the building is the only one remaining of many buildings which served as a Catholic school and residence for the Sisters Marianites of Holy Cross from 1859 until 1976.
