Komyshuvaha in Ukrainian or Kamyshevaha in Russian. An urban-type settlement in Orihivs'kyj rajon (district) of Zaporiz'ka oblast' (province) of Ukraine. It was founded in 1770 as a settlement for the families of soldiers of Nikitskaya fortress, located 4 kilometers to the northwest. First, the settlement was named after the heir to the throne of Russian Empire Pavel - Pavlovka. But soon it was received second name - after the river, where it was located, and was named Pavlovka-Kamyshevatka. The status of urban-type settlement it received in 1957.

The name comes from the word "kamysh", which means "reed".
