A Dallas County Community College District campus, serving Southwest Dallas and Grand Prairie. Opened in 1973, the campus sits atop a large escarpment at the intersection of Illinois and Loop 12 Walton Walker. Like many DCCCD campuses, Mountain View has a unique architectural style, including a pair of enclosed flying walkways that span a small creek seperating the two halves of the campus. The campus also has one of the best performance facilities in south Dallas County and the theater and musical theater programs have long been a staple of the school.
