Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR) 1002 Area, 1.5-million-acre coastal plain designated "1002 area" proposed for petroleum exploration / drilling. According to oil exploration advocates, less than 2000 acres in the 1.5-million-acre coastal plain would be affected in by oil exploration and production.

Due to system limitations the entire area can not be surrounded by a polygon.
