Also commonly known as the Astor Column is sited at the top of the 600 ft Coxcomb Hill. Climbing the 164 steps, one will be rewarded with sweeping views of Astoria, Warrenton and the wide expanse if the Columbia River and the far reaching Astoria-Megler Bridge.

  • 164 steps up the winding staircase to the small balcony at the top, and a spectacular view. Especially fun on a very windy day :-)
  • Make sure to buy some of the little wooden planes in the gift shop before you climb up--the proprietors claim that they've made it all the way to the Columbia before.
