restaurant, pub / public house, commercial building, Irish pub

6-story mercantile building completed in 1875. The ground floor has a red-and-black-painted metal, wood, and glass storefront on the left, and the main entrance on the right, with recessed glass double-doors. The 2nd floor is framed by angled limestone end piers with projecting, carved shields at their bases. Black iron pilasters with herringbone patterns divide the single-window end bays from the wider middle bay. An iron band across the top has a course of tiny dentils along its top edge, and the 3rd floor is set off by a stone cornice with an intricate, foliate, carved pattern. At the base of the 3rd floor, shields held by griffins cap the 2nd floor's angled piers.

The 3rd-5th floors are clad in limestone, with single-window end bays and the middle bays having four window panes; there are transoms at the end bays. There are recessed, paneled, limestone spandrels between the floors. The 5th floor is topped by a stone cornice with stylized brackets at the piers. The top floor has similar windows to those below, and is crowned by a stone roof parapet with square, shield-like panels, stepped up slightly at the ends and center. The lower two floors are occupied by P.J. Moran's pub and restaurant.
