  • There is usually noone at the park. It is the perfect part of the river for creek walking. Bring some old tennis shoes, step into the creek and start walking. Struggling against a lazy current is great low impact exercise. The scenery is nice as well, certainly beats a treadmill. The river is about 3 to 4 feet deep and muddy. There are some sharp stones so don't do it bare footed. I have never seen a snake here and have been many times.
