Dyavolski Most (Devil's Bridge)

It is a bridge over Arda river, situated close to Dyadovtsi village and 6 km north of the town of Ardino. It was built in the late medieval age in a narrow picturesque defile. It was part of a road connecting the area of the Thracian lowland with the White Sea region (Plovdiv, Asenovgrad, Topolski passageway, Devil’s bridge, Daladzha, Alada, Ustra, Makaza, White Sea area).
The Devil's Bridge is built in 1515-1518 by bulgarian master Dimitar from Nedelino village.
A railway with height of 20 cm was built. After the conservation works on the bridge in 1993, the railway was broadened to 50 cm. In 1979 the bridge was designated as a protected place and in 2003 categorized as a nature monument.

Dyavolski Most (The Devil's Bridge) and the area around it have been declared as protected site with Ordinance No.776 from 19.10.1979.
In 1979 the bridge was designated as a protected place and in 2003 categorized as a nature monument.
Area: 2.03 hectares.
