Cove on Lake Hopatcong. In Greek mythology, the River Styx was a river which formed the boundary between Earth and the Underworld (Hades). Though primarily a feature in the afterworld of Greek mythology, it has been described as present in the hell of Christianity as well, notably in Dante's The Divine Comedy and John Milton's Paradise Lost.
