ABOUT THE RESTAURANT Restaurant “Motikata” is situated in the beautiful town of Bansko, located close to the initial station of the cabin lift, on the road to the “Shilingarnika” ski center. According to an ancient legend the native born used to come to that place to divert water to their fields. But some of them got drunk and forgot their hoes (motika) and that is where the name of the restaurant comes from.
The restaurant is a recently built folk-style tavern. There is a small river with two bridges in the yard of the restaurant, which lend charm to it.
The cozy atmosphere, the carefully selected music and the fast service contribute to your good mood.
CUISINE The restaurant offers traditional Bulgarian cuisine. You can try one of the specialties of the region:

* Dishes on fire
* Hoe style roasted potatoes with garlic sauce
* Hominy with roasted pig’s ribs
* Knuckle of pig on fire
* Tasty Bulgarian cakes


WORKING TIME The restaurant works during the whole year.
It opens at 11.30 а.m. every day except for Monday.
The restaurant closes after the last guests for the night leave.

  • Не ходите в этот ресторан! Хозяин полный изверг! Он поит бездомных собак и котов молоком с антифризом и они умирают мучительной смертью! Он вешает собак на ели прямо во дворе ресторана! Это жесточайший нечеловек! И возможно, вместо ягненка вы съедите сегодня несчастную собаку или кота! Жаль, что в Болгарии некому защитить животных, а люди бывают так жестоки! Do not go to this restaurant! The owner is full monster! He gives to drink homeless dogs and cats milk with anti-freeze and they die an agonizing death! He hangs dogs on the trees in the yard of the restaurant! This is toughest non-human! And maybe instead of lamb you are going to eat poor dog or cat today! It is a pity that in Bulgaria there is no one to protect the animals and there are so cruel people! Не ходете в този ресторант! Собственикът е пълно чудовище! Той дава на бездомни кучета и котки мляко с антифриз и те умират мъчително! Той беси кучета на дърветата в двора на ресторанта! Това е жесток човек! И може би, вместо агнешко вие ще ядете нещастно куче или котка днес! Жалко е, че в България няма кой да защити животните и има толкова жестоки хора!
