The oldest shopping center in Coral Springs, dating back to the mid-1960s. The first restaurant in the city, the Red Fox Inn was located here. The first supermarket in the city, Publix store #159 was also located here. The original store was opened in July 1970 and was replaced with a larger store in the same shopping center less than a year later. It was open from May 21, 1971 until October 23, 2005. The store was written off and demolished due to damage sustained from Hurricane Wilma. The remainder of the shopping center was demolished years later. The north end of the site has since been rebuilt. There were plans to rebuild a new Publix store on the same site, but it never materialized. It's closest replacement is Publix store #1311 which is located a mile south. It was originally an Albertsons before Publix purchased the store in June 2008.
