Mihalkovo is an old Bulgarian village situated on the rivers Vacha and Churekovska in southwestern Rhodope Mountains. It is located 21 km northeast of the municipal center of Devin and 76 km from the town of Smolyan. The population is below 500. 2 km from the village is the mineral spring, whose water is naturally carbonated and is used to treat various diseases, including cardiovascular, nervous system and many others. The proximity of the lake "Vacha" and a unique combination of nature, ancient forests, rich berries and herbs, diverse fauna allow for development of mountain tourism and fishing. Just below the last houses of Mihalkovo began the dam and south of it is newly water power system Tsankov stone.
