  • The rakshasappara overlooking the Parakkottu bhagavathy kaavu(originally kaavu and now temple) is a solid rock platform .In the evenings you get profound breeze there and sun set view is heavenly beautiful! G Shankarakkuruppu- the great poet of yester years had his inspiration for writing poems from sitting on the these very rocks; it is said. He was the school master at TVM school those days, it is said.
  • Actually, this temple is having two Sree Kovils (Sanctum Sanctorum) of Mahavishnu. In the eastern side, the idol was installed by Parasurama which was worshipped by his guru Lord Paramasiva himself. The idol is chathubahu..But it is considered as Lakshmana. In the Western side, the chathurbahu idol with Sree- bhumi devi is a swayambhu one which is worshipped as sree Rama. For any other information any body can call me at 09447082528. I am happy to share the matters I know. Thanx
