Opened in 1969, the Kenai refinery has been under Tesoro's operations longer than any of the other refineries.With the capacity to process up to 72,000 barrels of crude oil per day, the Kenai refinery produces ultra low sulfur gasoline, jet fuel, ultra low sulfur diesel (USLD), heating oil, heavy fuel oils, propane and asphalt. Crude oil is delivered by doublehulled tankers through the eastern Cook Inlet and Kenai Peninsula pipelines.
