The Pit, officially named Dreamstyle Arena and formerly University Arena, in Albuquerque is the home of the University of New Mexico Lobos men's and women's basketball teams. At a construction cost of $1,400,000, the arena opened in December 1966. The roof was built first, then the pit was excavated and the concrete foundations were poured. The arena floor in 37 ft (11 m). The basketball court was named after Bob King in 1992.

The original capacity of The Pit was 14,831. In 1975, the capacity was expanded to 18,018 with extension of a cantilevered deck above the original seating and a standing-room area. From 2009 to 2010, The Pit underwent a $60,000,000 renovation including 60,000 sq ft (5,600 sq m) of new space, a new exterior with extensive glasswork, and the addition of 38 luxury boxes and 244 club seats. Its current capacity is 17,126.

The arena hosted the 1983 NCAA Men's Final Four.
