  • Anytime I see a 1999 or new Ford model I say New Mexico Built.
  • Is everyone on drugs? There is no Ford assembly plant in Albuquerque. This is the site of the old rail yards. It's being proposed for redevelopment.
  • You are all wrong This site was the American Car and Foundry Assembly site from 1951 to 1957. It was operated by AC&F under contract from the Atomic Energy Commission to make outer casings and internal parts for hydrogen bombs (nothing radiactive though). When you see those old 50's films of huge atomic explosions in the Pacific you are seeing weapons that are encased in Albuquerque built outer shells
