The pit to the southwest of the site has since been filled in and grown over. The main brick works site was developed into low rise housing following World War II. Was run and owned by Nocks.
The pit was used as a tipping ground for many years and recent tests have shown that any soil disturbance could be dangerous for nearby residents due to the toxicity of the soil. Asbestos, cyanide, solvents, benzene and hospital waste have been dumped at the site since the early 1800s.
