Named for Robert L. Himes, a member of the faculty for 33 years. Himes conducted the first normal school, forerunner of the present summer term, at LSU in the summer of 1897. Himes hall houses The Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships, the General College, the Division for Instructional Support and Development, and the ID card Office.
