Ms. Dastoor now maakoojina the princi however is the best teacher there.

  • I was elected head girl of the school with a thumping majority from amongst 8 candidates in 1965. I started kindergarten in 1953 and left school in 1966. My first teacher being lovely Miss Roshan Kheshwalla. J.B.V. was the best school and I have very fond memories. The principal was Miss Perin Nagarvala with Miss Ratan Bana as Deputy Head. I remember the exciting and interesting manner in which Miss Nagarvala in one of her Monday Assemblies recounted her trip to Chicago in U.S.A. The standard of teaching was high with th most devoted teachers and peons of the time. Too many to mention. I was very touched by the way Narayan our peon remembered me on my last visit to Bombay in 1987 and took me around the school introduced me to new teachers and ofcourse the old ones needed no introduction. I was impressed by the way the school had prospered and extended and looked back with pride in the way I was involved in fund raising for the extension of the Assembly Hall and Science Lab a the time.   • I passed my SSC from J B Vaccha in 1968. Ms Nagarwala was the Principal, Miss Bana the Vice Principal. Mrs Shroff was my favorite teacher. This school taught prepared me for life, wish there were more schools like this. I have started a Wadia Vaccha Alumni group on linkedin. Please join and ask other alumni to join.
